IRS woes

Larry and I have had some crazy tax woes. Last year, we were ecstatic, as we got TONS of money back. FLOORED. :) This year, my employer couldn't figure out how to give me a correct W2 form (I moved states halfway through the year, complicating matters for them I suppose) and our tax lady added her own level of grief to the process. FINALLY, we got our taxes done (months later than it should have been) and this week, we just got a letter from the IRS regarding our 2007 taxes... apparently, our tax lady had a software glitch that she didn't catch, and now we have to pay back almost 3000 bucks (plus penalty and interest). Next year, we are doing our own taxes...

6 month old pics! :)

I cannot believe he's already 6 months! He is starting to look more like a boy than a baby too! He's just about to crawl... you can tell as he rolls like crazy, scooches on his knees, and almost sits up on his own too...

But, as always, he LOVES his daddy... :) And he loves to be outdoors
And, has to be like daddy in even the little ways... :)

Except daddy doesn't put his feet up on the table when he eats... at least not when I've been watching. :)

Kaleb is our little jumper

You would think a baby that loves to jump would love a jumper. But, unfortunately, Kaleb loves mommy or daddy's lap and arms to be the jumper. He can go on endlessly, building up your bicepts. For some strange reason, the video keeps uploading sideways, regardless of how it is rotated on my hard drive, so I apologize if you have to kink your neck sideways to see my baby jump. :)

Hapy July 4th!

We took it easy on July 4th, mostly because I have been super sick all week. But, we did go see the fireworks. Kaleb had his red, white, and blue on, and was excited to be allowed to stay up later than we normally like (he stays up anyway, but we at least TRY to get him to sleep sooner).

So, everyone was wondering why we would take a baby to see fireworks, thinking he would cry or be scared. WE realized why people thought that... because all the OTHER kids and babies around us didn't like them. they cried, begged to go home, covered their eyes, etc. But not our baby! Our baby, who we expect to cry and fuss, as he does this so much, sat contentedly watching the fireworks, jumping and happy at first, then when turned away to take a picture tried to see them anyway, to the end just watching the kids around us while we watched the fireworks. You never would have known by holding him that there were fireworks going on... :)

Another milestone

Fri we had a little BBQ to celebrate July 4th. Emily had taken Kaleb for the moment, sat him down, and look what happened! He sat all by his little self for the very first time!
IN this pic, he started falling backwwards, but at least when the camera caught him, he looks like he was sitting on his own, not falling. :P

My little boy is growing so quickly!

My awesome pantry!

Larry and his dad have spent numerous Saturdays working their tails off to build me the most awesome PANTRY with.... drum roll please..... SPICE RACKS. Man, it is SOOOOOO SWEEEEET! I LOVE it. Here are some pics. We are still going to get them stained, but man oh man oh man, I love them!

Before this, I had my own utility shelf stocked full, which was ugly and not very convenient. Now, I have a perfect custom built pantry just for me... :) THANKS GUYS!
